In order for us to take away the speculations, especially media’s half-truths, it is important for a couple of things to be known regarding today’s protest and the protests that happened in the past couple of days because of the death of the young boy Martin Neshkovski.
This is a protest that begun because of SOLIDARITY- humane, dignified, natural. The loss of human life is the bottom line and you cannot go deeper than that. In this country everybody knows it because each human being has consciousness. However, some people ignore it and put it aside since everyday life is already pretty crowded. Even for the callings “Do you have children?” that we addressed to the people on their windows and balconies while we were walking around the streets and protesting, for a moment I was wondering how are they perceived by the parents over there. Where are their children? In fact, are they in their hearts? Or, as long as their child is alive… it’s fine. Is this not a reason enough to get out and support the young people on the streets, not to judge or hate but to ask for the human life to be exalted on the level it deserves to be?
I am generally filled with positive energy because a couple of things. At this protests I see people that repeat over and over again, “No violence”, “We want justice”, “Resignation” and such. These same people tend not to leave a single piece of paper behind them because when you respect life, you respect nature because you respect life in its all kinds! I see all those people questioning what next, but they know they have their part in what is coming up next. Their eyes are circling around, meet the eyes of the others and give respect to one another, leading to the greatest respect for Martin’s life.
Of course, there are the people who run around and judge, want revenge and see themselves in a position of estimating a lifelong penalty. This is normal to some point as an instance of wrath spilling its limits, but it cannot be compared to the love towards the life of Martin. Everybody know, with wrath you rather provoke more of it. Most of the furious ones are fighting to control it, and it actually works. Today I had the occasion to talk to a couple of young people who were attending the protest in order to cause violence. When I talked to them individually while walking, attempting to explain to them that turning the protest into a violent one will only cause greater fierceness; they tried to explain me that without violence nothing could change. You know, those children were never told how it is supposed to be, and when you try to do that they actually UNDERSTAND. It’s because everybody bears virtue! That’s what makes me happy. The people know that in the end, our final message is to the violent one to calm their rage and frustration.
I also had an interesting conversation with one of the policeman walking along with me. He said that someone threw a stone and judged us all by saying “he is one of you!.” Should I say to him that the one that committed the murder of Martin is “one of you” or better say, “it is you” as he wanted to say to me. To generalize is the easiest. But one of the strengths of this protest is that we ask for individualization of the guilt and systematic reforms, not hatred, abhorrence and nonsense. If some disagree with this, the microphone was there for everyone on our meetings at the small agora we have to complain.
One other thing that has to be mentioned unfortunately is the political parties attempts to abuse the protest. However is authentic and depoliticizes, so whoever wants to politicize it should not bother the movement. We are thankful to the party figures that are not present at the protests or before the cameras. We repeat- “We are not a party!” If these people want to join the protest, they would have to come in the front and declare on the microphone that they support the protests as human beings. That is the identity that unites us over there- we are HUMANS first of all! The media report that some officials call us not to abuse the death of the young man the protests can only get utilized and used for the wrong goals. But the death of Martin is a FACT that causes empathy!!! This is not an abuse, this is PAIN!!! There is a difference because the one that is silent- he is abusing and not mourning.
The declaration is in progress and the requirements are coming down to the point when we, filled with empathy, ideas and enthusiasm want to offer something and try to take responsibility. To get out to protest means to take responsibility! It should make the institutions ashamed that they are not functional. This is why the protest should be seen as a good sign (of course the reason is tragic), because the people have legitimate right to ask for responsibility from their elected representatives. Yes, we know about the institutional way if only it existed, right? The people have to get out on the streets in order to remind of the institutional way. When that happens, the institution should ask, where did I get wrong?
The most important message is the one of Martin’s brother – “Thank you for the support and please do not use any kind of violence.” Dear Alexander, there is no person more aware of you in this moment. You feel both the pain and the loss, and you know how your life changed in one single second because of someone else’s violence. It is like something that stopped your breath in a moment! That is why we breathe with you and for you, carrying your message and knowing that you know the best. It is the light that guides us. Your message is clear and anyone who ignores it does not have the right to fight for your brother’s justice, because in that moment that person is killing him again. The Macedonian people do not need a protest of murderers. They have the potential and the occasion to show their greatness in the honor of Martin and his life!
ПРОТЕСТИ за МАРТИН НЕШКОВСКИ
За да не биде некој во заблуда, за да не измислуваме и шпекулираме и особоено за да не се потпираме на полувистинити медиумски известувања, важно е да се знаат неколку работи во врска со денешниов и протестите во изминатите неколку денови по повод смртта на Мартин Нешковски.
Ова е протест кој започна заради СОЛИДАРНОСТ- човечка, достоинствена, природна. Загубата на човечки живот е дно и од таму подлабоко не може. Во државава сите тоа го знаат затоа што секое човечко битие има свест. Сепак, некој ја игнорира и си ја става настрана затоа што секојдневието е и без тоа веќе пренатрупано. Дури и повиците “Имате ли деца” кои беа скандирани на денешниве протести, за моменти се прашував како допираат до тетките и чичковците по прозорите. Каде се нивните деца? Всушност, дали се во нивните срца? Или пак се додека нивното е живо... Дали ваквата смрт на младо дете не ги поттикнува да излезат на улица да ги поддржат нивните деца, не за да мразат, не за да осудуваат, но да апелираат, да го издигнат човечкиот живот на нивото кое го заслужува?
Сепак, да продолжам со ред.
Јас сум во главно наполнета со позитивна енергија заради неколку работи. На овие протести гледам луѓе кои постојано повторуваат “Без насилство”, “Сакаме правда”, “Оставка” и слично. Истите овие луѓе се трудат да не остават ни најмало парче хартија зад себе затоа што кога почитуваш човечки живот, почитуваш природа, почитуваш секаков живот! Гледаш околу себе еден куп очи кои се прашуваат како и што понатаму, но знаат дека тие имаат некаков удел во она понатаму. Шараат со очите едни меѓу други и се одважуваат, а сите заедно го одважуваат животот на Мартин.
Секако, овде ги има и луѓето кои трчаат да осудуваат, да се одмаздуваат и да просудуваат доживотни казни. И ова е до некаде нормално како момент на излив на гнев, но не се ни споредува гневот со љубовта кон животот на Мартин. А сите знаат, со гнев се распламтува уште поголем гнев и тоа е тоа. Повеќето гневни се борат да го скротат, и навистина им успева. Денес имав прилика да зборувам со неколку млади луѓе кои беа дојдени за да настапат насилно. И кога зборував со нив поединечно, и кога имав обид да им објаснам дека претварајќи го протестот во насилен ќе се даде уште поголем повод за насилство, тие деца ми зборуваа дека без насилство ништо не можело да се смени. Ама знаете, на тие деца никој не седнал пет минути да им објасни, и кога некој тоа ќе го стори, тие РАЗБИРААТ. Затоа што доблест има секој! Е тоа мене ме прави среќна. Луѓево знаат дека на крај најважната порака е дека и на насилниците сакаме да им порачаме да го смируваат гневот и фрустрацијата во себе.
Интересен беше и дијалогот кој го имав со еден од полицајците кој се движеше покрај мене. Објаснуваше како некој мавнал со камен и не осудуваше сите- ”тој е еден од вас”! А зар треба господине и јас да кажам дека оној кој го изврши убиството на Мартин е “еден од вас” или како што тој сакаше да каже- “тоа си ти!”? Но, најлесно е да се генерализира, зар не? Всушност, тоа е уште една од придобивките на овие протести: луѓево бараат индивидуализација на вина, и системски реформи а не омраза, раскол и безумие. И ако некој има забелешка на ова, сепак знае дека се сложил со декларацијата која се читаше на малата агора.
Друга работа која накратко заслужува внимание е следнаво: овој протест е АВТЕНТИЧЕН и НЕПАРТИСКИ, па од тука натаму може кој што сака да зборува и мисли. Им благодариме на партиските ликови што во главно не се појавуваат и не трчаат пред камера. Ние порачавме и порачуваме “Ние не сме партија”. Ако тие сакаат да се придружат на протестот, ќе мора да дојдат на мегафон и да кажат дека се таму како луѓе а не како партиски пратеници. Впрочем тој идентитет и не сполотува: ние таму сме ЛУЃЕ. Пред се! Се зборува дека не требало да се злоупотребува смртта на Мартин и дека ваквите протести само се инструмелизираат и користат за погрешни цели. НО, смртта на Мартин е ФАКТ кој побудува емпатија!!! Ова не е злоупотреба, ова е БОЛКА!!! Има разлика, затоа што оној што таи, тој злоупотребува а не тагува.
Декларациите веќе се изработуваат и барањата се сведуваат на тоа луѓето полни со емпатија но и со идеи и ентузијазам да понудат нешто, и да се обидат да земат одговорност. Да се излезе на протест значи да се земе одговорност! И тоа треба да ги срами сите институции кои молчат и не функционираат. Токму затоа ваквите протести треба да се гледаат како многу позитивен знак (секако поводот е катастрофален), затоа што луѓето на кои властите се овде за да им служат, имаат легитимно право да бараат отчет. Да, институционален пат, секако, но да го имаше нели? Тогаш мора човекот да излезе на улица и да ПОТСЕТИ на институционалниот пат. Кога тоа се случува, ИНСТИТУЦИЈАТА би требало да се прашува, каде згрешив?
Најважна е пораката на братот на Мартин- “Ви благодарам за поддршката и ве молам до крај не употребувајте никакво насилство.”
Драг Александар, во моментов посвесен од тебе нема. Ти ја чувствуваш болката и загубата заедно, и ти знаеш дека животот во еден миг ти се променил заради нечие насилство. Како нешто што наеднаш го пресекува твојот здив! Затоа ние дишеме со тебе и за тебе носејќи ја твојата порака и знаејќи дека ти најдобро знаеш, и затоа ти си светлината водилка. Твојата порака е јасна и секој кој ја игнорира, нема право да се бори за правдата заради твојот брат. Зошто во тој момент повторно го убива. Протест од убијци на овој народ не му треба. Овие луѓе имаат и потенцијал и прилика да ја покажат својата големина, во чест на Мартин и неговиот живот!
